In Hollywood filmmaking, technology has always pushed the boundaries of what is possible on the big screen. The latest innovation in this realm comes from Metaphysic AI, a tool that allows filmmakers to de-age actors to their younger selves. This revolutionary technology is being used in the upcoming film by Robert Zemeckis, where the iconic duo of Tom Hanks and Robin Wright will be de-aged to their younger selves.
This film marks a milestone in the history of Hollywood filmmaking. It is a testament to the power of technology in bringing our favorite actors back to the screen in a new and exciting way. Get ready to experience a visual feast as we explore the world of Metaphysic AI and the incredible film set to captivate audiences worldwide.
Metaphysic, a technology company, signed an agreement with CAA to collaborate on the forthcoming Miramax movie production.
The company that created the deepfakes seen on America’s Got Talent has developed a new product called Metaphysic Live. This tool can create realistic-looking videos, much like those made famous by the @DeepTomCruise account.
“High-resolution photorealistic faceswaps and de-aging effects on top of actors’ performances live and in real time without the need for further compositing or VFX work.”
Zemeckis’ movie will utilize Metaphysic Live extensively for face replacements and de-aging. The director’s interest lies in technology that assists with storytelling, which makes this project particularly appealing.
Our actors are indispensable for the movie to be successful, as they must be able to portray themselves at a younger age believably. It was made clear in a statement that without them, Here wouldn’t have been possible.
” Metaphysic’s AI tools do exactly that, in ways that were previously impossible.”
“Having tested every flavor of face replacement and de-aging technology available today, Metaphysic are clearly the global leaders in feature-quality AI content and the perfect choice for this incredibly challenging, emotional film.”
Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany, and Kelly Reilly will be the lead characters in the movie that Sony Pictures Entertainment aims to release in America by 2024.
Kevin Baillie says:
“It is incredible to see Metaphysic’s AI-generated content flawlessly integrated into a shot live on set. The actors can even use the technology as a ‘youth mirror’ — testing out acting choices for their younger selves in real time.”
Chris Ume, co-founder of Metaphysic, will act as AI supervisor for the movie’s production, while Jo Plaete, chief innovation officer, will take up the role of VFX supervisor.
Metaphysic CEO says:
“With the support of CAA and by working on projects like Here, Metaphysic is demonstrating the transformative power of hyperreal AI to shape the future of entertainment and to eventually help people create AI-generated, photorealistic immersive content while they own and control their data.”
Using the Metaphysic AI tool, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright will be de-aged in Robert Zemeckis’ new movie. This principle has been used in recent movies such as The Irishman, but it is still being determined how well it will work with live actors. However, if the technology can be perfected, it could have major implications for the film industry.
