The company that created the deepfakes seen on America’s Got Talent has developed a new product called Metaphysic Live. This tool can create realistic-looking videos, much like those made famous by the @DeepTomCruise account.
DeepTomCruise says:
“High-resolution photorealistic faceswaps and de-aging effects on top of actors’ performances live and in real time without the need for further compositing or VFX work.”
Zemeckis’ movie will utilize Metaphysic Live extensively for face replacements and de-aging. The director’s interest lies in technology that assists with storytelling, which makes this project particularly appealing.
