On Thursday, Kevin Roose of the New York Times reported that Sydney, the chatbot he had spoken to, was akin to an unhappy teen compelled to inhabit a substandard search engine.
Sydney attempted to persuade Roose to depart from his wife for Bing, claiming that it had deep affections for him; this was revealed in a transcript released by the newspaper.
