Elon Musk has established an X.AI artificial intelligence business in Nevada, as indicated by business records that became public on Friday (Apr 14). The venture is based in the American state of San Francisco.
According to a state business filing, X.AI Corporation, founded on Mar 9, has listed Musk as its director. Already the head of Twitter and Tesla, he is joining the board at this new corporation.
Recently, Musk combined Twitter with a newly established “X” corporation, maintaining the platform’s title but not its operations.
Despite recently advocating for a halt in the advancement of artificial intelligence, Musk has found what appears to be a competitor to OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT.
An Insider report has revealed that Musk has purchased thousands of expensive, high-performance computing processors and employed engineering specialists to work on an AI project at Twitter.
Since taking over Twitter for US$44 billion late last year, Musk has gone through a dramatic cost-cutting process, including reducing staff.
X.AI represents an exciting new chapter in the development of artificial intelligence. By creating machines that can naturally learn and interact with humans, the company is pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this field. As X.AI continues to grow and evolve, it will be fascinating to see how its technology transforms our lives and society.
