“I think with some creative thinking, and a focus on critical media literacy, ChatGPT can be brought into any subject in any grade level and really should help prepare students for interacting with these types of tools in the future.”
Experts view Artificial Intelligence as providing not only assistance in teaching other areas but also have the potential to examine how the technology functions. Using this AI brings opportunities to understand how it works.
Noemi Waight, an associate professor of science at the University of Buffalo, is especially well-known for her expertise in the field.
“I think what AI offers, it offers an opportunity for our students to sort of open up that black box and allow students to understand the anatomy of the technologies in ways than that make them think about how, what can they create versus always thinking about ‘I’m going to use this for X.’”
“That’s the potential that exists here.”
